Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these Terms to create a family. If you invite another person or add information about a child, you confirm that you are authorized to do so. Child accounts may be created and used only under the direction of a parent or legal guardian.

Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. The person who creates a family controls its membership and shared settings. You are responsible for the people you invite and for having permission to upload or forward information about others.

heyfam organizes family information supplied by you and authorized family members. It may use artificial intelligence to suggest drafts, answers, and changes. AI can be wrong. Check dates, recipients, files, and other important details before relying on them.

heyfam is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Do not use it as the only source for urgent or critical information.

You keep ownership of content you upload, forward, or create. You give us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transmit, and display it only as needed to provide, protect, and support the service. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups and legal obligations.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you give to heyfam. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of it in more detail.

You may not:

• use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively, or harmfully;
• access a family, account, or information without authorization;
• upload malware, interfere with the service, or evade limits and security controls;
• send spam or content that violates privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights;
• copy, resell, reverse engineer, or exploit the service except where the law allows it.

Optional connections to email, Telegram, WhatsApp, AI providers, and other services depend on those third parties. Their own terms and policies may apply. We do not control their systems and are not responsible for outages or changes they cause.

We may improve, change, limit, or retire features. We may also suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, security, or events outside our control. We will try to give advance notice when a material change significantly affects ordinary use.

You may stop using heyfam at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for others or the service, or if law requires it. When reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to fix the issue.

To the fullest extent the law allows, heyfam is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure service, or that every AI-generated result is correct. Warranties that cannot legally be excluded still apply.

To the fullest extent the law allows, heyfam and its officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profit, or reputation. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of what you paid heyfam in the previous 12 months or USD $100. This limit does not apply where the law prohibits it.

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify heyfam against third-party claims caused by your content, your unlawful or unauthorized use of the service, or your violation of these Terms. This obligation does not cover heyfam’s own acts.

We may update these Terms. We will show a new effective date and ask you to accept again before a material change that reduces your rights applies. Non-material changes take effect when posted.

If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains effective. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent; heyfam may transfer them in a reorganization, financing, or sale, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
